The Ares filesharing software is a file sharing program that lets you share and download digital files from each member of a virtual community. This means that each member on the Ares Network is allowed to view the files installed in the shared folder of every member of the community. This seems to be a good thing but it has potential – if misused – to present a hazard to your personal information.
Ares’ ability to look at a file from a user’s computer also enables anyone to get those files from you. This means that any personal or private information stored in the shared folders on your computer can be seen by others in the community. Everything that is not in these shared folders will, of course, be safe from any prying eyes.
An Ares user is then well advised not to place the kind of information that he doesn’t want others to see in his shared files. This should include financial statements, bank documents, credit card information, sensitive correspondence and other such records.
Ares users who are unaware of this risk have the chance of having their information and security compromised or embarrassed by crooked community members. Minimize your risk by storing such data in a separate folder that cannot be accessed by the software: it is not just your life that will be protected but your family as well.
Ares is a perfect safe – and very, very useful – application, so long as it is used sensibly. Do your bit. Some clean ares download links can be found below. See? I even do your research for you:
